What I personally do is employ a weight-loss strategy that has helped me to lose over 30 pounds called Intermittent Fasting.

By combining intermittent fasting with the correct calorie consumption, you will be able to eat massive, satisfying meals and you will be able to also eat all the foods you personally love that you may have said NO to up until now.

The thing with fasting is that you will be able to stick to your dieting efforts because it provides you with a much more enjoyable way to remain in a caloric deficit.

How Much Food Should You Even Be Eating?

Hormones have a lot to do with this and so does your metabolism, but fret not – just because your body burns less calories than when you were in your 30s does not mean you can’t lose weight.

    I happened here after searching the web for some dieting info for my mom. She is 54 and had been in a few automobile accidents in recent years (she was a passenger each time), and I’m wondering if the excersises mentioned above would be a good fit with dieting or do you by chance recommend a specific workout for this situation?   2. Hey Michael beside women over 50 wishing to lose weight, us blokes do too. My wife & I are both around the 50 age and are starting to develop a spare tyre around our bellies – Heck, where did that come from!

    This last year we’ve both decided to get more exercise through swimming and long walks on a weekend. The problem we find regards on a nighttime after a day’s work. We’re both tired which leads to achy bones when exercising, preferring to sit on the settee instead until weekend approaches however this isn’t helping.

    It’s essential we conform to a diet plan and what you’re promoting here with regards to Intermittent Fasting sounds right up our street, thanks for such an informative method in counting calories & maintaining a healthy body,

      I understand the frustration as it sounds like it’s a classic catch-22. The more you sit, the more sore and lethargic one becomes, and I get that – I have been there! Believe me. Intermittent fasting has been a life-saver for me and has made fat loss so effortless. Anyone can try it out.

      If yourself and your wife can muster up the energy to just hop outside for a brief walk everyday, that would be a great start to getting healthy. No one can make all the changes at the same time, so adding a small change every week or so is the best way to go in my experience!

  3. Thanks for the great post Mike! I’ve been told before that you can literally eat whatever you want as long as it’s less calories then what you’re burning.

    My question is how would you know how many calories that you’re burning? Is there a specific calculator? Thanks mate!
